1. Introduction

Welcome to Speciman. By using our platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. Speciman is a zero-fee freelance marketplace designed to empower African creators and connect them with global opportunities.

2. Zero Platform Fees

Speciman charges 0% platform fees. Freelancers keep 100% of their agreed earnings. Payment processing fees (Flutterwave, etc.) are transparently passed to the client.

3. User Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Speciman.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• Speciman reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Escrow & Payments

• Clients fund escrow before work begins.
• Funds are released to freelancers upon mutual confirmation of delivery or after dispute resolution.
• Speciman acts only as a facilitator and is not a party to the contract between client and freelancer.

5. Prohibited Activities

You may not use Speciman for illegal activities, fraud, spam, harassment, or delivery of harmful content.

6. Dispute Resolution

All disputes must first go through our in-platform mediation process. See our Dispute Resolution Policy.

7. Limitation of Liability

Speciman is not liable for disputes between users, quality of work, or payment issues beyond facilitating escrow.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use of Speciman after changes constitutes acceptance.
